2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G)
The National Institute for International Education (NIIED), under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, administers the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program to establish international friendly networks and foster global talent by inviting world-class students from participating countries.
In this regard, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Finland will recommend three qualified candidates (Embassy track, general) to NIIED.
Candidates finally accepted by NIIED and their respective universities are expected to arrive in Korea in August 2026.

Applicants should submit all required documents/forms to the online application system through the Study in Korea website (www.studyinkorea.go.kr) between 11:00 a.m. on February 12 and 6:00 p.m. on February 25, 2026 (KST).
** Online application cannot be modified under any circumstances once submitted, so please prepare the document very carefully**
Interviews will be held at the Embassy (Pohjoinen Makasiinikatu 4, 00130, Helsinki) between March 4 and 6, 2026. Eligible applicants who have met the application deadline and passed the document review will be assigned an interview date within this period and will be notified individually.

Applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31, 2026, can also apply for the program with a certificate of expected graduation. Such applicants must submit their official graduation certificate and final academic transcript by July 31, 2026.
Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their acceptance.
Successful candidates of the 1st Round Selection will be announced on March 17, 2026, via "My Page" on the Study in Korea system.
Successful candidates of the 1st Round Selection must prepare their original application documents for the 2nd Round selection by NIIED, including a recommendation letter and the required apostilled certificates. The required documents must be submitted by post to the Embassy no later than March 20, 2026.
